Expat Contract - Mineral Resource Manager

A Mining house based in Central Africa is looking for an experienced Mineral Resource Manager

Duties:

Supply a service to the Mining Operation to ensure that the ore body is best exploited and managed in a safe manner to achieve the organisational objectives/output targets

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related discipline
• Master’s Degree in Economic Geology, Mineral Resource Estimation, or related field is considered an asset
• Minimum 10–15 years’ underground mining geology experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams
• Extensive experience in production geology, grade control, underground resource definition drilling, geological modelling, reconciliation, and hydrogeology
• Experience in large-scale underground mining operations with significant groundwater inflows
• Strong understanding of structurally complex orebodies and geological risk management
• Experience with mechanized underground mining methods preferred
• Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French and Swahili will be considered highly advantageous
