Odyssey House NSW’s trauma-informed services set us apart as a leader in the support service space for alcohol and other drugs dependency. Our teams help clients to meet their goals and address underlying trauma and mental health issues, while also developing new skills to improve all aspects of their lives. 

We provide a diverse range of services to individuals, families and community education. Our services include withdrawal services; one-on-one assessment and treatment by psychologists and counsellors; group therapy; residential rehabilitation; and free education at Odyssey College.

Description

As the Team Leader - Residential Programs, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality individual and group AOD treatment and recovery-focused support.
  • Lead, support and manage a team, including line supervision, professional development, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with the Odyssey House Model of Care and clinical governance standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop partnerships and achieve program objectives.
  • Support data reporting and evaluation to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation within the team


Skills And Experiences

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline or VET qualification with significant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing a small team within a clinical governance framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver AOD programs, particularly in residential settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to support people with complex support needs including those with intersecting AOD and Mental Health needs and cognitive impairment, significant contact with criminal justice system and other similar complexities.
  • Computer literacy including understanding of MS Office Suite and use of Client Management Systems.
  • Demonstrable communication skills including report writing, case note writing.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic communities, evidence-based treatment, harm minimisation, care and support strategies.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver's License.
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working With Children clearance for paid employment.
  • Unlimited right to live and work in Australia.
  • COVID Vaccinated

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in residential treatment settings.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks and clinical audits.
